My experience with Community Based Research was a delightful experience that fostered meaningful collaboration with my groupmates. I got to work closely with my groupmates, and we became closer friends, especially during our interviews. Our teamwork helped us learn a lot about our research topic. We worked together, shared our strengths, and achieved something we thought was impossible. I learned that teamwork, communication, and supporting each other are very important. I'll always remember this experience and appreciate my teammates help in making our research successful.
After we take a picture with my groupmates and we continued our data-gathering journey. We meet various vendors selling basi, a local wine made from fermented sugarcane. Our goal was to gain insight into their sales and experiences. We approached several vendors, introducing ourselves and explaining the purpose of our research. They warmly welcomed us and shared their stories. We asked a series of questions, including whether their basi was selling well, how many bottles they sold per month, and what factors affected their sales. We took careful notes, ensuring that we captured every detail.
This traditional fermented wine, known as Basi, holds a special significance in our community. It's a beloved product that we're proud to sell locally. What's more, Basi has become an iconic symbol of San Ildefonso, reflecting the town's rich heritage and culture. That's why we chose Basi as the focus of our Community-Based Research (CBR) project. We collected a data about this traditional wine, exploring its production process, market demand, and cultural significance. Our research has given us a deeper understanding of Basi's importance in our community, and we're excited to share our findings.
